race point striper

Bait Intel

Mackeral are  still thick on the inshore ledges but becoming harder to catch in the sunlight.  Best bet is to target in the early morning in low light conditions.

Inshore Intel

Striper action this week has been consistently good with mid range fish making up most catches but fish up to 30lbs are mixed in on the bay side.  The race down the backside to the golfball have been producing.  The schools thin out the further down teh backside you go but there are bigger fish.  Top water has been working early on but its been hard to beat a live mackeral.

race point fishing

Sea bass fishing continues to be very good in buzzards bay this week with some large scup in the mix.

Flounder fishing is at its peak for the year as tehy will soon be heading to deeper summer waters.  Boston and scituate harbor continue to yeild limits.

Offshore Intel

Haddock bite is hanging in their but the fish are on the move east  and have to be targeted a few miles from where the biomass was in May.  Another Halibut was taken on the NW corner of stellwagen this week.

Unfortunatly no signs of tuna at this stage in the game with most boats making long runs to see whales.
