A weather system and its cold front move across the waters Thursday bringing showers and a chance of thunderstorms. High pressure from the Southern USA then brings dry and hot weather from Friday through Sunday.

S winds 10 to 15 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. Seas 3 to 5 ft. A chance of showers this evening, then showers likely after midnight.

S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30 kt. Seas 4 to 7 ft. Patchy fog. Showers with a chance of tstms. Some tstms may produce heavy rainfall. Vsby 1 to 3 nm.

Thu Night

S winds 15 to 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt, becoming SW 10 to 15 kt after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 ft. Patchy fog. A chance of showers. Vsby 1 nm or less.

Reports

Reports are a little light with the east winds over the past week.  Sunday boats were out gearing up for the commericial bass season which kicked off on Monday putting a quick dent in the quota as many boats limited out early in the day.  Legal size fishing 34-38 inches are all over the cape from Billingsgate up to Race Point.

 

Bait Intel

Mackeral are  still thick on the inshore ledges but becoming harder to catch in the sunlight.  Best bet is to target in the early morning in low light conditions.  

Inshore Intel

Big bass have made there way to the North shore.  49lb fish was caught off graves and multiple 40's caught by the sharpes fishing the outer minot ledges off scituate.

Sea bass fishing continues to be good off westport and Sakonett and is now open in RI.  

With the drop in water temperature this week Flounder fishing is remaining strong into late June.  Scituate harbor continues to be hot.  

Offshore Intel

Haddock bite is still good further east you need to get out into 200+ feet of water off middlebank heading to the east side.

Reports of tuna being seen on Tillies this week with a few catches.  Most of the fish coming in are from the harpoon fleet at this time.
