Mass Bay

Haddock - Activity on stellwagen has picked up over the past few days.  

          1. The fish have started to move into the shallow waters of the Northwest Corner.  Fishing has been up considerable in past week in this area.

          2. The offshore ledge outside Plymouth is still producing boats for second week in a row are catching limits in shallow water.  

School bass are every where right now

          1. North and South Rivers are loaded with sub legal fish 

          2. Deer Island and Winthrop inside Boston Harbor have been hot nothing of size to note

          3. Action can be found off almost any south shore beach right now with the small schoolies

Flounder - Bite has increased this week with the warmer temps, a few highliners are starting to catch limits.  Seaworms are teh best bet right now.  Deer island flats have been very productive past few days.

          1. Scituate has been slow you can scratch up a few

          2. Fish are hitting inside green harbor and will start to move out in the next few weeks.

          4. Brewster flats still producing

Mackerel moved in thicker past few days all the way to Graves light.

          1. Typical south shore ledges are giving them up off the Gurnet, Farnham and scituate.

 

Buzzards Bay/Canal

Bass - Large volume of bass in the area.   Birds are covering most schools and fish up to 30" are not being caught fairly constantly.

          1. Plenty of large bait in the area.  Big Scup and pogies are all over western buzzards bay up to maritime and taylor point.

Tataug - West BB area is hot boat getting easy limits.  Small to average sized fish no world beaters.

          1. West end of canal and clevaland ledge for boats

          2. Reports of shorecaught tog this week in woods hole

 

Black Sea Bass - season opens 5/18

Fluke - season opens 5/19

 

South Side

Squid - Boats continue to do well outside of Hyannis.  Vineyard sound continues to be loaded up with squid.
