Intel

So just as the fish show up in large numbers of both giants and rec size fish we get our first fall north east blow that has lasted from Saturday to Wednesday of this week.  Making it very difficult for the fleet to get out and fish.  There were a number of fish caught on Saturday before the bite got too bad and plenty of surface feeds as the fish are chasing halfbeaks.  Checkout this video courtesy of @fishing_cape_cod.

With the winds laying down the the weather over the next three days we should quickly get a sense on what the NE blow did to the fish that are around.

Luckily it looks like Hurrican Florence is going to stay well to the south of New England with residual impact for swell due next week so keep your eye on it.

Inshore Intel

The Albies have shown up over the past week in Vineyard Sound and in Buzzards Bay so now is the time to target them in addition to bonito.

Striper fishing is slow from the canal south to the Elizabeth's but there are big fish around with reports of  30-40lb fish sporadically being caught.  On the south shore bait is plentiful as mackeral are loaded on the inshore ledges and fish are up in skinny water chasing peanut bunker coming out of the bays.  The typical fall blitzes are taking place with small tins doing the best.

Offshore Intel

No one spot is outproducing on the tuna front as the bank, wood end, cape cod bay and the fishing ledge have been producing giants.   Through sunday the SWC of the bank seem to have multipe hookups with large fish.

Shark fishing on the east side has been great with threshers showing up more frequently this year with the warm water.

Haddock fishing officailly closes on 9/15 so even though its still lights out there is only a few days remaining to keep.
